As members
of Peace Lutheran Church empowered by the Spirit, and in grateful response to God's
grace, we boldly share the love of Christ in worship, witness and service. We
invite you to join us.
The Peace Lutheran Congregation

Welcome
to Peace Lutheran Church, a “Branch” of “E.L.M.S.”
Peace Lutheran Church has recently entered into a unique
partnership with St. Thomas Episcopal Church, also located in Port Clinton, Ohio. The
two congregations, both of which were founded in 1895, have come together to share
a new Pastor/Priest, the Rev. Michael Wiechers. A covenant between the churches has
been established under the banner: E.L.M.S. or Episcopal-Lutheran Ministry Sharing. This ground breaking arrangement allows both churches to retain their heritage and
identity, while at the same time sharing the joys of Christian “community”.
Sunday Services are held at 9am and 11am on a four month rotation. Currently Peace
Services are at 11am, March through June. Fifth Sundays are celebrated with a
joint Service at 11am at alternating churches. (Please see
Services Times.) Members
of both churches are welcome at a weekly adult Bible Study, Tuesdays at 7 pm at St.
Thomas and Wednesdays at 10:30am at Peace. Peace Sunday School at 10am, all ages, is
also open to both congregations.
Pastor “Mike” comes to us from Good Hope Lutheran Church, Bucyrus, with 33 years in
the ministry. He and his wife Angie are “at home” in the Peace Parsonage, 217 Alice
Street, Port Clinton, Ohio, 43452.
